Beautiful and sparkly blue Drusy Chrysocolla from the Bagdad Copper Mine in Arizona!

Drusy (or druse) is a trade name for a natural surface texture of fine quartz crystals that sparkle. The drusy reflects the color of the stone below. Chrysocolla is a copper silicate and is found in the copper oxide zones of major copper deposits. It is usually found with other copper ores, most commonly Malachite.

Chrysocolla is known as a healing stone among Native American Indian cultures w it was used for strengthening the body's resistance and bringing about calm feelings w t is upset. The name Chrysocolla first appears in the writings of Theophrastus (315 BC). Chrysocolla is named from the Greek chrysos - "gold" and kolla - "glue" in allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold.

Metaphysical Properties: Chrysocolla is associated with serenity, tranquility, peace, patience, tolerance, acceptance, uncondional love, meditation, calmness, hope gentleness and sensitivity.

This lovely specimen is about 3.75 inches by 2.5 inches and 3 inches tall. The crystals are weatd.
