DUCKS ON THE WING is an original oil painting by Cornelus Wijsman. the painting is 8" x 10" and the frame is 15" x 17". The finish on the frame has been scuffed in places and touched up. The canvas stretcher is stamped ANCO Bilt, Glendale, NY, and the frame is "Wolsey Taiwan". The canvas stretcher also has the name of a gallery in Virginia. The original gallery tag from NM has the price at $399. To my knowledge this was first sold to me, and I have not had it hanging. I believe he may be a son of the well known Dutch painter Corneles Lodevicus Wijsman (1895-1944), but I am not certain.The COA reads as follows:"This original oil painting is from the artistCORNELUS WIJSMANBorn in 1915 at Amsterdam. Attended the Primary school and the technical school. Wanted to become a window-dresser and attended the academy. Finished this school and was a window-dresser during several years. Was also interested in art-painting and decided to attend the Art-College in the evening-hours. Finished the Art-College after 4 years. Stopped with working as a window-dresser and started his job as an art-painter until now." PayPal only, payment within three days of close of auction.
