Gorgeous Rare-Old-Large Carnival Glass Bowl Pattern: Butterfly & Tulip - 2 sides Up Dugan Glass Company ca....1907 Condition: Very Good Up for auction is this very nice , very old , and very rare "Butterfly & Tulip" 2 sides up footed marigold carnival glass bowl by Dugan. On the reverse side is a pattern known as "Inverted Fan and Feather". This bowl has no manufacturer's marking, and was made circa 1907. It stands 5.5 inches tall and is 11.5 inches across. It has very good marigold color. The pattern strike is excellent and this bowl has no chips, cracks, or repairs. One of the feet has a few fleabites, and t is a manufacturing fissure in the bowl, no doubt made during its production . All of this is mentioned for accuracy purposes, and to let you know ahead of time, you are bidding on an antique piece of carnival glass in very good condition. The pictures do not do this piece justice. The color is very uniform. The pictures have dark glare spots which are reflections of me taking the pictures!!! It is being sold as is, with a no return policy. This is the original Butterfly & Tulip, by Dugan, not the reproduction by Fenton. This 2 sides up bowl is referenced in the Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass as a $350 value. Both the price guide and David Doty list this footed bowl as scarce . It will be shipped double boxed and packed with styrofoam and peanuts. Don't pass this rare opportunity for a seldom seen piece of carnival glass history. This will make an awesome addition to your collection. The reserve is set at a very reasonable value, and now is the time to buy that " once-in-a-lifetime" collectible treasure. I ship to any of the continental 48 states, via USPS priority OR parcel post. Insurance is mandatory . I do not add handling fees. Paypal is preferred, but I also accept money orders/bank checks. Shipment is usually made one day after receiving payment which is due within 5 days of close of auction. Please email your questions before bidding. I will answer immediately and post relevant answers. Thank you for looking, and good luck bidding .
