Welcome to my auction! I have 120 pieces of Carnival Glass. Please check my other listings for items you might like! This auction is for a Peach Opalescent Carnival Glass JIP Vase. This is the "Many Ribs" pattern made by the Dugan Glass Company in the early 1900's. It is unmarked. You can reference this pattern in the Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass, 10th Edition on page 83. I've also heard this pattern called Thin Panel. This JIP Vase is 7 1/4" tall and 4 3/4" across the top. I bought this because I thought it was unique with very pretty iridescence and colors. The JIP part is smooth and satiny instead of crimped. It is so frosty, it provides an excellent background for the colors. The opalescence starts at the top of the Vase in the back and goes all of the way down. At the bottom on the outside, it's darker with a concentration of chemicals. The Peach doesn't go all the way down inside the vase, but you can't tell on the outside because of the opalescence. The base has a little bit of peeling and one shallow chip on the side. Unique little Vase! No other chips, cracks or repairs. All pictures were taken outside in natural lighting.
