This auction is for THE HEROES OF THE CIVIL WAR tobacco card album as you see photographed here. This was published by W. Duke, Sons & Co, Manufacturers of Duke's Cameo Cigarettes, Turkish Cross-Cut Cigarettes, Duke Cigarettes, and Cross-Cut Cigarettes. The album measures about 10 3/8" wide X 6 7/8" tall. Inside are absolutely beautiful images as you can see here. There are about 29 pages with images, and several are entire page images. One of the full pages is photo'd here of Grant and Lee. The others are the Merrimac and Monitor Battle, the Battle of Gettysburg, and The Battle of Mannassas, or Second Bull Run. For each person in the booklet, there is a short history about them that begins on the page around their image and then continues on the back of the page. There are some tape marks, cover edge loss and deterioration as shown, but all in all, this is an absolutely beautiful lithography book. ALSO INCLUDED IS A JULY 1924 CONFEDERATE VETERAN MAGAZINE.
