AFTER COLUMBUS DAY, MANY START TO THINK ABOUT CHRISTMAS OR CHANUKAH PRESENTS - WHY GIVE ANOTHER TIE, BLOUSE, SWEATER, ETC. WHEN YOU CAN GIVE SOMETHING YOUR LOVED ONES PROBABLY DON'T HAVE - AFFORDABLE 50-80 YEAR OLD ELEGANT GLASSWARE, HANDMADE IN THE USA. OVER THE NEXT TWO MONTHS, WE WILL BE OFFERING 250+ PIECES OF GORGEOUS GLASSWARE - DON'T MISS OUT. "CARIBBEAN" was manufactured by DUNCAN MILLER GLASS from 1936-1955. we offer the 11" 2 handled cheese/cracker underplate(liner) in BLUE. Excellent condition without any cracks, chips, nicks or stains; appears to have had little use-bottom underside ground rim is just about pristine-few light stacking marks in center of bowl. T is ONE 5/8" SOMEWHAT DEEP SCRATCH(fingernail catches) near one of the handles(see last photo) - for a dish without any utensil marks it seems strange to have this scratch-must have came in contact with something sharp during the 50+ years it was moved around. Also, couple tiny "round/inverted v" straw marks on each "swell" and a tiny spot of extra glass/indented glass on the rim-THESE GUARANTEED TO BE FROM MANUFACTURING. This plate is SIMPLY STUNNING and CARIBBEAN IN BLUE is just not readly available - only a couple of items recorded on on ebay and they do not include any serving pieces. REF: FLORENCE'S Elegant Glass(2005); COE'S Elegant Glass(2004). As we get on in years, we have ceased our stamp collecting activities, and now, we will be liquidating over 300 pieces of antique glassware that we have accumulated over the past five years. Even more of an inititive is the fact that our Bride of 40 years has indicated that I need to stop my compulsive buying of glassware and sell the stuff that fills up my garage and another room, if I want to make it to 41 years. So, we will move on to new compulsions such as woodworking and fishing. Accordingly, our entire collection of depression era and elegant glassware from the 1920's to 1950's will be sold over the next 3 months at prices 60-80% below book values-don't miss out-probably the largest single hoard of glassware being offered on EBAY.
