Duncan Miller Sylvan Swan Covered Candy Dish RARE For sale is a lovely depression glass covered swan shaped candy dish made by Duncan Miller Glass Co. The pattern is called Sylvan and is characterized by the gentle wide ribs and shapes that remind one of leaves. What's so rare about this candy box is that you often see the bottom leaf shape candy dish with a crystal or colored handle or this bottom that looks like a shallow bowl, but you never see the swan lid which makes it the original candy box. It's too cool! The swan dish is about 8 inches wide and 8 inches tall to the top of her (or his) head. Also, the bottom dish is divided into 2 sections so you can put in 2 kinds of nuts, or candies, or olives...etc. The swan is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or cloudiness. The only thing to mention is that if you look closely at the bottom you can see a bit of scuffing from w it sat on that shelf for all those years. The UPS shipping/insurance for this item will be $10.00 within the continental USA (just ask for other locations or if you need USPS).
