Being sold from Troy, New York...'s the story! About 8 years ago I met a local gentleman who told me had purchased 100+ Duncan Penny Parking meters from a Pennsylvania municipality which had previously purchased them from a Florida municipality. The Pennsylvania authority never installed them we guess because the fare increment was 6 minutes for one cent, 30 minutes for one half hour, and a dime for an hour...representing what could be characterized as a rather small return on the investment. At the time he contacted Duncan and he was informed that they thought his collection represented the largest single collection of Duncan Penny Parking Meters in the world. I agreed to help him sell some on EBAY and we did quite well, most of them selling for upwards of $100.00 (that is in fact what they sell for on a Duncan Parking Meter store which you can find through your browser. But after a couple of dozen meters, we took a break from EBAY and the owner and I lost touch for several years. Well, several months ago we reconnected and he informed me that he had over 50 meters left and wanted to know if I wanted to purchase them as a lot. I jumped at the chance and loaded the van with the meters and other parts and will be offering about 20 of them over the next several months on EBAY. This one is working great, has a few minor scratches and wear marks (see pics) but remains a classic example of a TWO HOUR Duncan Penny Parking Meter. It measures about 15" tall and the diameter of the pipe that is would sit on is a little under 2.5". It does not have its lock, as they were taken out by the police department of the municipality. Normal wear and tear om the meter We will charge only $15.00 shipping for anyw in the U.S., and that is a real bargain (some sellers are charging $25+ for shipping...not our style). Some of these meters were purchased for use in movies that were trying to recreate scenes from the 50's. We have both one hour and two hour meters, but this one is the two hour meter, and we hope you like. Includes the cash drawer with handle. Good luck...when these are gone, they are gone!!!!!!!!
