The base of this vintage petrol cigarette lighter is stamped - Pat No 143752 (the last number is almost illegible but I think it reads 2). It also has a deeply stamped logo. The reservoir screw is stamped - Le Briquet Dunhill. The top plate is stamped - BvL. It has screw closures to the fuel reservoir and flint tube. The reservoir closure screw incorporates a spare flint container. There is a small pin head sized dent on one side and wear commensurate with age and use that does not show up in the pictures. The flint tube is slightly distorted. Size 55 x 43 x 13mm. (25.4mm = 1 inch) Dimensions are approximate. To conform with airline shipping restrictions the lighters that I offer for sale are emptied of fuel and flints are removed. The wadding is removed if it has any trace of fuel. When shipped the lighter is totally inert and comprises only of the components of original manufacture and construction.
