Greetings:You are bidding on a scarce Solid Sterling Silver Dunhill Broadboy petrol pocket lighterThis is the Standard (full size) early version which was made in England and bears London hallmarks (See Pictures) . The cap is hallmarked as well as the body and the fuel filler screw, which is actually hallmarked in two places. A special featuture of this lighter is the concealed flint chamber which also accomodates a spare flint.The Broadboy is a high quality lighter and was described by a distinguished engineer as 'a triumph of design and workmanship'. It was produced in three sizes, Standard,Small and Miniature and this is the Standard gentleman's size.This solid Silver lighter weighs 62g (2.19 ounces) and it measures 58mm (2.28") tall x 32mm (1.26") wide x 11mm (0.43") thick.This lighter is in very good overall condition. It features a very attractive engine-turned body that shows signs of surface wear; Small dings along edge. It appears to be in working condition but needs a new flint and petrol. It features an "A.V.H." monogram on top cap.
