What a great find for the Victorian Home! This is an antique "cushioned" mirror resting on brass in relief. Framed mirror opens to hold two brushes for the discriminating gentleman. This case would work well in the Foyer or Entry Way to check your face and hat before you leave. Keep one brush for your hat and another for your coat or jacket. I recently purchased this mirror in our town which has a large Dutch population. Although not marked, I believe this piece to have been made in Holland. Overall height is 24" and width is 13" and 3" deep. The four side mirrors are antiqued Venetian type glass and the center mirror is regular. The center mirror may have been replaced but the only repair we made was to add three or four brass nails to the top brass strip holding the mirror. This strip has a very minor bend or twisting as shown in photographs. The brushes are brass clad and very clean. Each has a ring for hanging. Overall this is a most impressive decorative antique mirror for your entry way or dressing room. Brass has a wonderful aged patina. Buyer pays $20 toward shipping and insurance. Seller pays remaining shipping/insurance.
