Welcome to "I Could Dansk All Night & Other Scandinavian Favorites" Week! We're amazed at how many pieces from Nordic Makers we had -- but we decided to be even more expansive and include pieces that are a little farther afield, but still from the Far Northern Climes. Choose from our best Sterling Silver, Lead Crystal, Porcelain and Fine Art pieces among our bountiful Smorgesbord and find your treasures!! You are bidding on a pair of amazing Dutch Sterling Silver Toast Tongs with Box Ends made in the Netherlands in 1932 by a maker whose mark is the letter B in a diamond. These Sterling Silver Toast Tongs are stamped for 833 Sterling and has a duty stamp with the letter "W," indicating the city of origin. (We're a little "in over our heads" because we aren't familiar enough with Dutch makers and stamping practices to identify either the maker or the city of origin ... we just know how to "read" the marks. :0) The box ends and profoundly simple lines of this piece are fine examples of high Art Nouveau styling. These Silver Toast Tongs are wonderfully heavy when held in the hands, are in excellent condition with no dings, dents, mars or defects of any kind and only need a light cleaning. These Dutch Sterling Silver Toast Tongs with Box Ends measure 6 " long and weigh 2.2 ounces or 63 grams. California residents add 8.25% sales tax read more
