B & R DVD Volume 68 - Steam in the Capital I quote from the box: ‘London could offer views of locomotives of all the Regions of British Railways and this video visits the great terminal stations and the suburbs of the capital. The Midland Region from Euston, St. Pancras and Marylebone went north with Duchess, Jubilee and Scot along with other ex-LMS and Standard motive power on empty stock and parcels workings. Willesden shed is also visited in 1964 and coverage of the Rickmansworth changeover from Metropolitan electric's to steam in 1961. On the Eastern, Kings Cross attracted many to see the glorious pacifies, A1, A2, A3 and A4. Follow them along the East Coast Main Line to Hatfield via Potters Bar. Other motive power such as V2, B1, Britannia and WD are also seen. Liverpool Street and the Lea Valley in the early 1960's gives us Britannia and J15's. The Fenchurch Street line had 2-6-4T's up to electrification with steam at Shoeburyness, Tilbury and Plaistow sheds. The Western Region from Paddington to Reading had Castles and the Marlow branch had push-pull working with an auto train in direct contrast to the expresses. The Southern Region was the last to use steam in London. The coverage here was in the early 1960's when there were Schools and Lord Nelson on the main line, a Beattie Well tank tour, pannier tanks at Clapham
