This is a pair of covers sent from Dyea, Alaska during the Klondike gold rush. One cover was sent to Platteville, Wisconsin, and the second was sent to Hurricane, Wisconsin. Both are postmarked with the Helbock Type 2 cancel from Dyea, which was reported used only for 3 months in 1898. One is postmarked March _, 1898, and the other was postmarked April 4, 1898. The 1898 receiving marks on the back confirm the year of mailing. Rarity factor is 6 for this type. There is edge wear on both covers as shown in the scan.
