Family Group of Four Framed Early Nineteenth-Century French Carved Ivory Profile Portraits.Said to be Charles X and Family, however, I can not claim this to be true. Excellently carved detail of hair, facial features and dress.No age cracks to ivory, needs gentle cleaning.Frame with some minor surface chips. Frame (may not be original), the ivories on black velvet that may or may not be original - possibly one tiny area of wear or moth damage?back of frame lined with period textile (dirty and stained).From a Washington, D.C. estate of French descent.
