Two (2) all brass models made in Japan and imported by Stanley Soho of a Central Electric Railroad Association box car. These were used by several interurbans in the mid west.They look more like interurbans anyways and less like steam railroad roling stock. Both models are in exellant condition with a few idiosynchracies. One model has a patch of corrosion above one side door which may have been caused by incomplete cleaning of the acid core solder flux; also it has some coupler pocket bases solderd on very poorly. One base has detatched completely although both Kadee couplers and plastic coupler pockets are included. This model has TWO brake wheel details on either end; I am sure this was possible on the prototype although I have never seen it done on conventional freight equiptment. The other model has the one brake wheel on one end with a missing chain; also this model has NO coupler, coupler pocket; or even a base and/or drilled tapped hole to mount anything on!. Judging by the anticlimbers I think the prototype would have had radial couplers like a streetcar but how the modeler would mount one is beyond me. Trucks appear to be brass castings and the wheels are nickle plated brass, Except for one spot of corrosion the laquer finish is still very bright.
