This is an interesting old bottle, I have had it for over 40 years myself. While visiting a friend, years ago to admire her brides basket collection, I noticed she had a couple of bottles, and at that time I was collecting bottles. After inquireing about them we made a swap, my basket for her bottles. She was an old lady at the time and told me that she had aquired the bottles from a old store in Gay Ga. over 25 years before. And was told at that time the bottles were old. So this bottle is at least 65 years old. I have always thought this was a original bottle, But is probably a very old reproduction. But it definately is not one of those Garish reproductions that were made in lurid colors a few years ago. The color is a light green or puce color which is consistant with some of the originals. It has an blown and applied tapered top that is wider at bottom of lip than at the top. On one side it is marked 120 Walnut St ( t are 2 dots under St. )and Philadelphia is marked under the street address. The other side is marked E G Booz's Old Cabin Whiskey The front is marked E.G. Booz's Old Cabin Whiskey The back is marked (1840) It weighs 1 and 1/2 pounds on my scale. The bottom has a concave round place 2 inchs wide. The door latch looks like a lying on it's side S. T are many tiny bubbles in the glass and has no chips or cracks. read more
