R.E. Lee CDVs & Album/Images - Southern Family –A group of family images and album that are absolutely from one family. ALBUM- Two Robert E. Lee CDVs in uniform; child with dog; priest BRADY NY bm; mix of women/men/children dating from just before the Civil War until 1900 (?). CDVs and tintypes. Approximately 25 Civil War period CDVs plus the Lee CDVs and 25 plus post war mix of CDVs and tintypes in the album. Album spine is loose and several pages loose. Backmarks include BRADY (priest); Bendann Bros Baltimore; Shorey’s Baltimore; J.B. Kelly Covington KY; Taylor NY; Whitehurst DC. Loose old newspaper article speaking of Charles Campbell’s, of Macon GA, contribution to confederate monument to Confederate Women of Maryland….”Mr. Campbell continues: “ When I went to Baltimore in 1866 to secure my brother’s body, among other articles found in hie satchel was a notebook one page which declared to the following ladies Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Cowles, Mrs. S.A. Berry……” This is a Berry family album. Berry is in pencil on the back of a CDV of a war period women.
