F E Olds 1930 Trombone - SELF BALANCING Model History of this 'Bone My Dad bought it Pre-War sometime in the late '30's or early '40's I'm guessing. He was born in 1919 so I doubt he got it new. His name is on the case. I started playing it in the mid '60's through the early ''80's.During this period the rear weight was added and it was refinished. Slide Serial # 7420 dates it as a 1930 model - Press fit Bell has a M stamped at the female end - could not get a clean pic.Can't locate a serial # on the Bell. Deco engarving on Bell not the "Bear".Case is believed to be original. Mouthpiece is stamped "Stanley". No dents, all slides work. Includes a Shastock "Solotone " vintage mute.
