This isa General Electric / Revere chiming mantel clock. The clock keeps time and is in running condition. It plays the Westminster chimes on 4 rods, with 4 notes on the quarter hour, 8 notes on the half hour, 12 notes on the three-quarter hour, and 16 notes on the hour, followed by counting of the hours by striking a three note chord. There is a “silence” rod on the dial that controls the chimes on or off. A small key is clipped inside the back door for this purpose. The movement works properly and keeps time alright, although it probably has not been serviced recently. The movement is powered by a Telechron Type B rotor. The movement serial number is 142520 and it was probably made in the early 1930's (approximately). The back door is hinged and has the instruction label on the inside of the door. The case is approximately 9-3/4” W x 12-1/4” H x 6-5/8” D. The model number of the clock case is 130 and this number is stamped into the bottom of the case. The clock is marked “GENERAL ELECTRIC WESTMINSTER CHIME" and has the G-E trademark on the dial, along with “Telechron Motored”. The dial, hands, and beveled glass are all in good condition. Note that there are several small pieces of wood trim missing: 3 missing from the left front spire, 2 missing from the left rear spire, and 3 missing from the right front spire. This can be read more
