The pictures don't do justice to this amazing ceiling/light fixture. It has a brass body that attaches to the ceiling (screws and plate included). The total height of the brass portion is about 9 inches. T are 3 sockets for light bulbs and a pull switch drops through this section. The glass shade fits down over/around this section. The shade is 20 inches wide (middle sectionhole is 8 inches). It has gold splashes that are textured that radiate from the center outward. The middle section below the shelf that the shade sits is made of a shiny brass ( I didn't polish anything) with a ring that holds a lens that covers a light that shines straight down. Because I got it after it was removed I can't be sure, but I think if you pulled the chain it would light on the top with the 3 bulbs, light on the bottom with the lens area and light both the 3 bulbs and the lens area. I had another fixture that worked that way. Magnificant and rare are the only ways I can describe this fixture. I beleive it is from the 40s or 50s. If you would like more pictures email me and I will have someone come over and hold it up so I can get better pictures from the bottom. Please don't pay until I send and invoice. I believe the safest way to ship would be for the shade to be shipped in a different box. Buyer pays actual shipping and I won't package this unless read more
