You are bidding a "new" original plywood Eames lounge chair in red purchased from Design Within Reach in 1999. is what they say about the chair: Molded seat and backrest for comfort. Manufactured by Herman Miller. The LCW (Lounge Chair Wood) was hailed by Time Magazine as the Best Design of the 20th Century. Iconic 1946 design by Charles and Ray Eames. Along with the Lounge Chair and Ottoman in leather, this may be the most well recognized piece designed by Eames. Low-slung, with an expertly crafted molded plywood seat and back, this chair is extremely comfortable and built for longevity. While many Eames chairs were originally produced in red, this is the only one still in production. This original is an authentic, fully licensed product of Herman Miller, Inc. Eames is a licensed trademark of Herman Miller. Material Natural ash or walnut face veneers with maple plywood, or red or ebony stained ash veneer with maple plywood; 5-ply seat and back; 8-ply legs and lumbar support; rubber shock mounts Measurements H 26.5" D 24.5" W 22" This item is offered for local pick-up in Los Angeles.
