this is a 5 day auction.this is a vintage Eames Lounge chair & ottoman. in gorgeous black leather. it is a great chair. the leather is in great shape with just a hint of wear on the seat. it swivels perfectly. the walnut is also in good vintage condition. t are a few dings and scuffs of the back of the chair with some very minor peeling. nothing that detracts from the overall look of the chair. the ottoman is in great shape. the chrome on both the ottoman and chair are great. the chrome base legs of the ottoman is slightly different from the base of the chair. it's very minor. I don't know in the last 40 years someone replaced the ottoman or just changed the base legs. but the leather is the same gorgeous black leather color. this set came out of a high end estate and it looks great. although it is not signed, it is DEFINITELY from the 60's or 70's. and it is obviously a very high end production. it is CONSISTENT with the EAMES REPRODUCTIONS made by Plycraft. This classic and comfortable lounge chair is a must have design statement for any mid century modern home! it may be the most famous American chair of the 20th century. as well as one of the most comfortable. this eames lounge chair would go perfectly in a retro modern nelson, wegner, saarinent, palm springs hollywood regency home... or office.
