EXQUISITE old CHILD ISSUE PARIS PATTERN CAKE STAND
GORGEOUS old early American pressed pattern glass pedestal CHILDRENS' TOYcakestand, cake plate, cakeplate, salver, pastry display. The pattern is PARIS , also known as ZIPPER CROSS . Glassmakers: Bryce Higbee & Co., ca. 1900-1907, and New Martinsville Glass Co., ca. 1918. This adorable little toy cake stand appeared in the 1900 Montgomery Ward Catalog and was named Paris.
PETITE TOY SIZE: 6-1/4" diameter x 3-1/2" tall. She stands nice and level and steady on a 3-3/8" diameter foot. The glass is bright and clear and the pattern is very well defined and crisply pressed. JUST BEAUTIFUL!
EXCELLENT CONDITION! NO CHIPS! NO CRACKS! CRYSTAL CLEAR and VERY SPARKLING! ALL OF THE PLATTER EDGE SCALLOPS ARE PERFECT! T are some strawmarks and swirls and bubbles, of course, as expected in glass from this era. I see very little, barely t, light, fine scratching. T is some mold edge roughness to the foot edge and the seams in the foot are prominent and have a sharp feel, very common in these old EAPG pedestals. She's a STUNNING little toy cake server and she displays beautifully! You won't be disappointed, she's a real TREASURE!
