EXQUISITE BRYCE TEAR DROP ROW PATTERN PEDESTAL CAKE STAND
GORGEOUS and HUGE and HARD TO FIND, old early American pressed pattern glass pedestal cakestand, cakeplate, cake plate, salver, pastry display. The pattern is TEARDROP ROW . Glassmaker: Bryce Higbee, ca. 1899. A lovely large piece of old antique glass!
LARGE SIZE: 10-3/8" O.D. (diameter mearsued from outside edges of the rim/gallery), 9-3/4" I.D. (diameter measured inside the rim, the cake seating area) x VERY LOFTY 7" tall. Large enough to accommodate even your most elaborate dessert creations! :-) She stands nice and steady and level on a WIDE 5-1/2" diameter foot. She is a heavy piece of antique glass, weighing in at 4-1/2 lb before packing. The glass is thick and the pattern is very well defined and deeply pressed. I just love the big fat teardrops on this one!
EXCELLENT CONDITION! NO CHIPS, just a tad of VERY MILD manufacturer mold edge roughness to the bottom edge of the platter...nothing at all objectionable or unexpected, and not noticeable without a search! NO CRACKS! CRYSTAL CLEAR and VERY SPARKLING INDEED!
