EAPG Bryce Glass Pickle Castor Set Butterfly with Spray This auction is for an Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) Bryce Glass Double Pickle Castor Set Butterfly with Spray Pattern AKA Acme Pattern. (Kamm book III, p. 46) It is Antique glass circa 1885 in clear color. This set consists from two same size pickle jars (some called them marmalade jars) and metal holder. The Pickle Castor holder measures 8-3/8" across the front and the handle has been broke off, but it is adorned with a beautiful figure of a lady carrying a basket on her head. The metall tarnished in some spots, can be cleaned. The two jars measure 6-3/8" high each and both have the beautiful Butterfly pattern. Both lids and rims of top of jars have rough chiggers on edges. No other chips or cracks or cloudiness. The bottom of the holder reads "Quadruple Plate, Wilcox Silver Plate Co., 690." ( "Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers" written by Dorothy T. Rainwater . On page 226, I identified the mark. The book identifies "Wilcox Silver Plate Co." from 1867 to 1898) . Look at the pictures as part of the description.
