You are looking at an 1850's piece of flint Early American Pattern Glass. This is the Giant Sawtooth pattern that was produced by Boston and Sandwich Glass co. from the 1830's to the 1850's. This a very nice piece of glass with great clarity and a lovely ring to it when tapped with finger. It has a polished pontil present on the underside of the base. I can find no damage to this anywhere , just minor wear from use to some of the highpoint areas....no chips. flakes or repairs. It is 6 3/8 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches across base at its widest point, this is a heavy item as it weighs 1# 10 ounces with no packing! .There are air bubbles and that sort of imperfections has to be expected in a piece of glass from this era. Please and see my other listings for more pcs. of EAPG flint items I am currently listing.
