Being offered in this sale is an early American pressed glass footed bowl - compote - in the DIAMOND POINT pattern that was made by either the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company or the New England Glass Company c1860s. The glass is BRILLIANT clear flint glass that resonates like a bell when you tap it. This piece is part of a 13 piece collection that I am listing today on Ebay and represents the second half of a local gentleman's personal collection. I sold the first part of the collection earlier this year. Several of the forms I believe are fairly scarce. This piece measures 5" tall x 7 1/4" in diameter. The condition is excellent. T is one tiny air bubble in the glass along the rim that is right at the surface so you can feel it with you finger and one other tiny pinpoint on the edge which I mention for the record. Otherwise, t are no other chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or grinding. Please feel free to email with any questions. I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described.
