ANTIQUE EARLY AMERICAN PRESSED GLASS CREAM PITCHER APPLIED HANDLE SAWTOOTH PATTERN NEW ENGLAND GLASS COMPANY c1860s I SHIP WORLDWIDE Over the next few weeks I will be listing quite a few pieces of early American pressed and blown glass from a collector - dealer who recently passed away. Included in the collection are early whale oil and kerosene lamps, bar bottles, early patterned flint glass and early ceramics. Offered in this sale is an early , clear, American pressed glass creamer in the SAWTOOTH pattern that was made by the New England Glass Company in the 1860s. Please note that some of the images are dark because they were shot in diffused light to better illustrate the detail of the pattern. It measures 6 3/4" tall and is 5 1/2" across from the handle to the spout. It has a solid applied strap handle with a nicely crimped tail. The Sawtooth pattern was made by a number of glass companies in the 19th century and was made in both flint and non-flint. This one is flint glass. The large tooled "helmut" spout is typical of pieces made at the New England Glass Company pieces. The condition is excellent. T are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or evidence of grinding.
