EARLY AMERICAN PATTERN GLASS PEDESTAL CAKE STAND A gorgeous old pedestal cake plate or cake stand. I couldn't find much info on it. I will tell you what I do know. It belongs to my aunt and it was her mother in laws. My aunt is in her 70's so it is at the least 75 years old. She believes it is 100 years old and referred to it as a teardrop pattern. Even with that info..I could not find it. It weighs 4-1/2 lbs, is 7 inches tall and 10 inches in diameter with the apron or skirt that hangs down being 2-1/4". It has a "well" in the center that I think is for brandy which is 1-1/2" deep and 1-3/4" wide. It has a pinkish tint to it. See last picture compared to a ABP Piece I have. All of the points are very sharply cut and t are straw marks in it and t and a bubble or two. No knife marks at all however so I feel comfortable saying it has never been used. . None of the points are chipped off as they are all still V shaped but I counted four that have small chips on them. I can send a picture of them if you email me.
