Cream 593003 1967 Mono Disraeli Gears BLue and Silver Reaction Label UK 12" inch Vinyl LP Made in England Garrod and Lofthouse "Patents Pending" fully laminated Sleeve Issued as one of the earliest ever 1st Pressings in the United Kingdom from 1967, I offer you this Ultra rare 12 inch Mono LP called "Disraeli Gears" by "Cream" on the Blue and Silver record label. The Catalogue no. is Reaction 593003. The Heavyweight Vinyl Comes with original fully laminated, Garood and Lofthouse "PATENTS PENDING" outer Sleeve. The condition is EXCELLENT all round. The early Matrix numbers are; Side 1: 593003 -A1 -1-1-1 Side 2: 593003 -B1-1-1-1 This pressing retains the earlier heavyweight Vinyl which weighs approximately 180g compared to the later lightwieght vinyls which were lacking in quality and density throughout the 1970's. The thick heavyweight Vinyl is in Excellent condition with light hairlines only throughout both sides and a fantastic heavyweight shine. This has not been playgraded however as my Vega is due to be serviced. The labels are in Excellent Condition also with great clarity overall. All tracks and credits are bold and precise. However, there are a few light spider trails and minor wear, but my oppinion suggests that it does determine an "Excellent" grading . The original Garrod and Lofthouse ltd. "PATENTS PENDING" outer Sleeve is in Excellent condition with light creases only. The front shows signs of light wear with no cracking to the laminate, light wear to corners and no penetrations. The spine is strong and shows evidence of light wear only. The inner sleeve is in Excellent condition. Whilst retaining it's strong print, the inner bag shows some creasing, discolouration but no tears or writing. Please take a look at the picture section as this will hopefully clarify it's authentic condition. Items shall be dispatched with protection in mind. As a foreword regarding grading, I have to admit there's just something unique and special about Vinyl records. I appreciate that the modern download industry facilitates easy access to our most beloved tracks and compact discs are "compact" and slim-lined to minimize storage space. However, what is missing from them forms of media only a record enthusiast will appreciate. If we could possibly disregard the amazing sound reproduction attained only by vinyl records, in terms of value for money, there's just no comparison. If we rationalise it as "what you get for your money", i'll pick records anyday. I don't get any real "consumerable satisfaction" when buying tracks that are then stored in cyber-space and all that you see is a picture of the band pop up. It's a shame what is lost is the atmosphere, originality and imagination of sleeve artwork with the added extras sometimes thrown in, such as limited edition inserts and posters. I believe that a quality vinyl record is it's own form of art, incomparable to that "file" we have downloaded from cyber-space. Therefore, when buying records I want to obtain a record which I know is what I want, ie condition. I n the past, I have had many encounters where I didn't receive what I thought I was bidding on. For example, my experience would suggest that some sellers over grade their stock, whether it be through inexperience or unscrupulous members who believe they can get away with it. When I grade vinyl condition, I emphasize its strong points and weak points in as much detail as possible in addition to a detailed image section to assist in determining its approximate condition.
