This is the first successful newspaper ever published in America. The very first newspaper, "Publick Occurrences Both Forreign & Domestick", lasted but a single issue in 1690. It would be another 14 years before America would have a newspaper, the one offered , and it would publish until the evacuation of Boston in 1776. This is also a rare opportunity to find an American newspaper published in this decade, the 1710's. In fact, on the date of this issue this was the only newspaper publishing in America, as the only other two newspapers in existence in the colonies in 1719 did not begin publishing until late December. This is the very first American newspaper of this decade we have had the fortune to add to our inventory in over 20 years.
