This auction is for one of the nicest French clocks that I have seen and have enjoyed it on my mantle for a few years now. It is from around 1810 and is in fine original condition including the gold finish. The sculpture is hand chased as they did in the early years and shows great detail. It is a nice petite size measuring approx. 13 1/4 inches tall and 10 1/4 inches wide. Everything on this clock is original and no apologies The porcelain dial is signed "Ch Rolland a Marseille". This is an eight-day running clock and has recently been serviced and needs nothing as of now. It sounds the hours on a delicate bell and once on the half hour. The original silk thread type pendulum is not pictured but is included with an old period French winding key. This is not the average E-Bay "stuff" but the holidays are upon us and this might just be the perfect gift for that perfect person in your life. The romatic theme of this clock makes the statement. Last but not least....t is a glass dome and a wood base with the clock . They did not start out life with this clock but offer protection from the elements and looks very nice. The smart buyer will pay shipping and I will pay the insurance. Shipping for this clock must be handled with care even though it is not a large piece. Shipping in the U.S. will run from $40 to $75 depending on location. For the person smart enough to grab this clock shipping costs doesn't clutter their mind and they focus on the real values of this world. A few old "Zekes" always whine about any shipping costs.For buyers outside the U.S. please let me know early if you need shipping quotes. I get firm quotes on all outside the U.S. PLEASE NOTE: In answer to questions about shipping to Hong Kong....USPS will be $95.00 w/no insurance available and Fedex economy is $135.00 with insurance. This is without the glass dome which must be sent seperately and will run around the same amount because of size to protect the glass. Couldn't respond to question by e-bay messages because they will not allow more than one response . Payment can be made with Paypal, money orders or personal check with 10-day clearance.
