An Exellent example, conical footed, applied stem, thick heavy leaded flint glass,Mold marks are present inside and outside on the foot,The top is mold blown, crimped at neck, and applied to the foot, the brass collar seems to have been placed during this prosses,The collar itself is clearly handmade, the threads inside the collar are wide and uneven.I cannot detect any filler between the collar and glass although t must be something t I cannot see it,even under bright light and magnification? I have no Idea what that might mean.Money back plus your shipping if you are not completely satisfied that this is a very early piece. I have not seen this Greek key and panel before and 8 sides makes me wonder If I am "under" estimating this one! Check out my other auctions as I have a Weller and a Greuby Vase, a '62 gibson, and a 1960's pond yacht for sale at this time. Never a reserve on my pieces,I am liquidating and selling my home of 10 years and am coming to the end of my pieces. I saved the best for last. Good luck to all! Jerry After doing some research I believe that this lamp goes before 1780.Pretty sure about this, am continuing research with the Metropolitan Museum and I will update as info comes in! Jerry I'm sorry I did not list the dimensions of this piece before. They are ....Hieght =9" width @ base = 7" Width of reservoir = 6
