Selling as much of my collection of late Victorian Silk Dresses today as I can. All of them are two-piece -- bodice and skirt, circa 1898 to 1900. Historically, these dresses were from Smith's Castle in Cocumscussoc and were apparently donated by that museum house association (or someone else who acquired them from the castle) to the University of Rhode Island clothing and textile department, from whom I bought them at auction. T's a lot of history on the residents of the castle online, I didn't pinpoint the woman's name yet, but you could try calling them when they reopen in the spring. These are for study, patterns, or restoration. They're in fair condition, sold as is. Hopefully someone will enjoy, appreciate, or have use for them as I need the money for my daughter's school! we have a silk floral chine with pink satin accents. T's a cute tulle ruffle at the bodice's pink satin cuff. The collar is sewn in rows of tight, narrow pleats. A swag of tulle and lace remains at one shoulder with a rhinestone buckle accent. T's some dry rot w t were spots or stains. The skirt has two wide pink panels edged in tulle ruffle, as you can see in the photo, and the hem has a double ruffle. Approximate Measurements: shoulder to shoulder 12.5", bust 29", bodice waist 22", Skirt waist 21", waist to hem 41"
