Lookout Mountain is one of the larger foothills which overlooks Golden Colorado. The Denver can be seen clearly from the mountain. It is known for its natural scenery. The Lariat Loop road ascends from Golden up the steep east side of Lookout Mountain was built in 1913. It is famous as the gravesite of Buffalo Bill. Despite his request in an early Will to be buried in Cody, Wyoming, a later Will left his burial arrangements up to his wife Louisa. Louisa Cody insisted that Buffalo Bill told her he wanted to be buried on Lookout Mountain, something that was corroborated by their daughter Irma, Cody's sisters, and family friends. But other family members joined the people of Cody, Wyoming in insisting Buffalo Bill should be buried in that town. This began a controversy that continues until today. THIS IS A RARE ORIGINAL WILLIAM CODY BUFFALO BILL LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN SEWN PENNANT. IT IS A GREEN PENNANT WITH RED SEWN LETTERS AND A PICTURE OF WILLIAM CODY BUFFALO BILL SEWN IN A ROUND RED TRIM ATTACHMENT. THIS IS A VERY EARLY STYLE PENNANT. MY GUESS WAS PRODUCED IN OR AROUND HIS DEATH IN 1917. I’M NOT SURE BUT THIS IS A VERY EARLY SEWN TYPE PENNANT PRODUCED FROM 1910S TO 1930S THIS PENNANT IS APROX 33’’ X 13”. THERE ARE A FEW WHOLES, SOME STAINING AND SOME FADING. MY PHOTOS SHOW IT’S CONDITION. STILL OVERALL VARY NICE FOR IT’S HISTORY. IF
