Early 1900s Clockwork Singing Bird Cage Automaton ! 's a wonderful, early clockwork Automaton Birdcage....found in an eastern PA Estate. Most likely German of French Bontems...The song is clear and strong. The cage and bird all original. Head still moves and the motor is running well. Cosmetic issue typical for a cage of it's age. See photos for personal evaluation.The feathering on the bird is in fair overall condition. Faded floor of the cage most likely has some decoration at one time. 11"x 6" for perspective. Has key. Should restore beautifully. Great for the serious collector...will be shipped a bit disassembled for safety...good luck !
