Early 1900s Japanese OLD Ivory Dragon Sack Netsuke LG

Offered for auction is a very old and enchanting LARGE size carved ivory netsuke! This netsuke features an ornately carved horned dragon peeking out of a tied sack with an axe on the underside. This is an old piece and part of an estate I am liquidating. I was told this was done by an individual artist, from a school in Tokyo, Japan, he was a teacher, not a student. And dates to the 1890's. These are made from the TIPS / Ends of the elephant tusks and are pre-ban. Very heavy and nice. It is heavy and weighs in at 53.5 grams and measures 4 1/4" long and about 1 1/2" tall. It fits wonderfully in your hand and is smooth as silk with a lovely patina. The cross graining of the ivory is beautiful. I am also listing a smaller netsuke with the same theme in a separate auction and they look wonderful displayed together.
