You are bidding on a great old 2 7/8" long x 1 7/8" wide badge for the "Colorado Mounted Rangers" ( badge number 55 ). The Colorado Mounted Rangers were the only state law enforcement agency in the state from 1861-1923 (at which time they were dissolved by the governor ). The rangers are now reformed but no longer serve the same roll. This badge dates to the early 1900s and is in good shape with the exception of the back -- w the pin portion has been crudely reattached. These badges are very hard to come by so don't miss out. No Reserve!!!!! This piece is fresh out of an old Colorado estate! Shipping (U.S.) on this item will be $ 4.00 plus insurance ( postal service insurance rates -- 0-$50 1.65 / $50-100 2.05 etc ).
