Early 1930-31 PACKARD Adonis Sliding Boy Hood Ornament MORE PICTURES AT BOTTOM OF PAGE Click Early 1930-31 PACKARD Adonis Sliding Boy Hood Ornament For auction with no reserve is this vintage hood ornament or mascot for a 1930-31 Packard, known as the Adonis or the "sliding boy." Original mascot attached to the Packard radiator cap, and is die-cast zinc with chrome plating. Mascot measures approximately 5.5" long and 5" tall. Stamped "19-223" on the underside. Four holes on the underside of the base for attaching to the radiator cap. Chrome is in overall good condition. Most of the finish feels very slightly rough to the touch -- not pitted or bubbled, but not perfectly smooth. See close-up photos below. No cracks or breaks. This ornament presents very well.
