This auction is for a thick binder full of Forest Service instructions, policies, claims, forest camp plans, etc. This collection was recently found at the estate of a Forest Ranger and is dated from 1929 to 1937. It mentions a number of Pacific Northwest sites, Wallowa, Malheur, Snoqualmie, and Mount Hood to name a few. Some of the subjects covered are: cruising timber, land exchanges, sanitation, grazing, and great detailed diagrams of Ranger stations, toilets, stone camp stoves, log tables, log shelters, log community shelters, log kitchen, cattle guards, trash burners, dams, spring boxes, bridges, even playground equipment. There is some writing as the book is in used condition. About 150 pages of text and around 100 pages of plans, some fold out. A number of the drawings are labeled C.C.C. Low reserve of this scarce bit of National Parks history. Winning bidder prepays plus shipping and required insurance ( insurance included with handling ) within 7 days.
