This is an early 72 mm WWII solid shot that weighs approx. 15 lbs. I will mail flat rate, $8.10, US only. The shell is in excellent condition and measures 9 1/4 inches long and 2 1/2 inches across the base. This shell has been in my collection for a long time. The iron is solid and lightly coated w/ poly. No markings on base, but some on the brass band that reads: Lot 225124...some #s difficult to read, (is dated 1942 and has MW) M72. Shell is safe and inert and did not carry powder in the nose. Probably used for piercing ships, tanks, etc. An outstanding shell. Keywords: shell, projectile, artillery, ordinance, fuse, non dug, WWII.
