You are bidding on an early 1950's Privat-ear subminiature tube pocket radio in very nice condition and in it's original box. The radio has absolutely no cracks or chips. The antenna ( which is how this radio is turned on and off) is still in very good operating condition. The single earphone (which is attached to the radio) is also in very good condition. Also included is the original 22 1/2 volt battery ( which obviously no longer works). This radio also requires 2 - 1 1/2 volt batteries, which are not included. I am not even sure if these types of batteries even exist anymore. I really hate to part with this, but I know there are vintage radio collectors out there that will have a greater appreciation for this piece of American history.
