This is a 16" (40 cm) redheaded Sasha Doll made in Germany by Gotz between 1965-1969. The mainly hand-painted features are very nice, with large brown "saucer eyes" and pierced nostrils. The hair is thick and shiny with the factory curls intact. As with all the Gotz Sasha's I have seen of this period her hair seems thin on top (see pic.). However, no hairs come out if I brush her.If you look at her feet you can see that they differs. One leg is probably replaced by a leg from a Trendon Sasha. The arms seem to be restrung, but not the legs and head. There are some damages to the fingertips (see pic.) and some scuffs and scratches to the body, but otherwise she is in a rather good condition. The knitted outfit is as old as the doll and knitted after a professional knitting pattern. With her comes also her white original shirt. It has been washed, but a very small light brown stains remains. The doll is marked with "Sasha Serie" on both the neck and the back.
