Offered , an interesting example of early Sandwich opalescent flint glass. This piece measures 3 inches in diameter, and exists in almost perfect condition. It uses the Sandwich raised design which is considered to represent a feather and which appears more frequently in opalescent or clear flint glass pulls. This piece may be a tie back, although I doubt that. It is uncharacteristically thick, a full quarter inch at the edge, and the edge is smooth to the touch. This seems more consistent with a door pull, perhaps a cabinet door pull. In any case, this is an extraordinarily beautiful example of early opalescent Sandwich glass. Shipping and insurance to any US address: $6.50.
