An Extremely Early, Extremely RARE ,South East Pennsylvania, Open Hearth Cooking, American Colonial Period, Hand Cast Iron ,Matching Kettle and Kettle Tipper, In Excellent Original Untouched Overall Condition. In My Over 45 years of Collecting Period Cast Iron ,I have NEVER Seen or owned a matching Set of the Kettle and Tipper. Almost always they are non matching. This is a Matching Set ,and it has never Been Separated. They are Extremely Rare, and very hard to find, even in Non matching Sets. This would be Hanging in the Open Hearth Fireplace, on the Crane, by a Hook. And it would b raised or Lowered to adjust the Kettle's Exposure to heat. The Kettle has all the Right Cast Iron Pouring Gates, and the Surface is Perfect for it's age. The Tipper is made of Hand Wrought Iron ,and is in Perfect Operating Condition. It measures about 25" high. It has an Estimated Shop or Show value of Between 2,400.00 and 2,800.00. I'm selling it with NO reserve ,and only one Penny to start.
