Early American Majolica Biscuit Jar-Tin Glaze

Offering an early American majolica biscuit jar, made in 1833(date stamped at bottom-see photo..) Decorated in the typical style of the period, and exhibiting a lovely tin glaze with prussian blue as the primary color, pale blue and white as the secondary colors, and green leaves and pink and orange flowers. Original lid, which is rare with jars this old.. Exquisite detail.. Look at photos carefully.. This jar measures 5.25 inches across and 6 inches high to the top of the handle on the lid. Condition is almost flawless with exception to a very light pea-sized flake(not a chip..) to the base rim, on the side, that I personally and professionally restored to w you can't even see it, unless you look very closely at it, and then you can barely see a color difference; semi-glossey restoration glaze matches surrounding glaze.. Also, t is expected crazing to the interior, through-out, that one would expect from a piece this age, along with blue overcast/spotting, and a soiling stain; see photo.. Understand, this is a very rare, early example of American majolica, and much, much more valuable than the opening bid... No reserve. Email me with any questions.. Good luck...
