For the textile enthusiast this is a wonderful EARLY wool homespun blanket that was found in a Maine attic. Stored for years it has not been laundered ~ I could not detect any stains but will air it on the clothesline today. T are a few very old yarn sewn repairs (see photos) and a few smallish probably "critter holes"...the largest is about the size of a quarter. I mention this for accuracy but it really doesn't detract from it's overall early panache. This antique textile is soft and the blue/cream check variation is very appealing. As you can see from the photo on the queen size bed, it is large measuring 64" wide by 82" long and is pieced together in the middle. As you would expect from a textile of this age it is rather light weight and hand sewn. T is a paper label sewn onto the blanket w/ the makers name~Florence Houston. Buyer pays $7.50 shipping and insurance within the continental US. I accept paypal and certified checks/money orders. Please ask any specific questions that you may have.
