old antique early ROOMS FOR TOURISTS CAST IRON SIGN-from a prominent collection and dating at least back to the turn of the last century but more likely later 1800s this is virtually a one of a kind rarity-ive never seen a rooms for tourists cast iron version in a street sign pole style as this one-it is also double sided-extremely rare and will last forever as this did already-it is in original untouched condition with its original paint-if anything the black lettering on the cream background may have at one time been refreshed but very early 1900s if at all-it measures 18 1/2'' at its hieght by a 14'' round diameter by 3/4'' at the round thickness-its in excellent condition for its age and showing a true old paint patina and very minor oxidation spotting which really only add to its true age authenticity and character-i put this sign at one of the highest levels of collectability.
