Made in the early 1800s this Antique Desk is 19 ½ in. wide by 16 ¼ in. deep and 11 in. high to the top of the gallery. Constructed of Tiger Maple it is joined with hand cut dovetails and hand wrought nails. It probably sat on a counter or table and t are four holes in the bottom w it may have been attached. The hinges and lock are original. I do not have the key. Condition is good for its age and the desk is sturdy. T is a chip on one corner and the lid sits up 1/8 in. on the other corner. The interior is fitted with cubbyholes under a writing surface. This surface has a worn area next to the lock and the felt has holes and wear. The exterior shows scratches and marks from use with some small worm holes on the back that have not affected its strength. This would be a nice addition to your Antique Early American Furniture Collection. Guarantied to be old and as described. Please look at the photos and Email any questions.
